Character Animation

My first 3D character animation. We used a free character rig and I chose to animate the character in the scene that I modeled.

Crabtastic

A three shot animation created entirely in Adobe After Effects about a young Crab's island discovery.

Riviera Maya, Mexico

My first timelapse video using roughly 280 photos of a sunrise over the Gulf of Mexico.

Bouncing Ball

One of my first animation projects that required the use of a ball to display our knowledge of squash and stretch. My bouncing ball is displayed in a creative almost childish way because that type of animation tends to be my favorite.

Hand Bouncing a Ball

For this animation we needed to practice the motions of the hand, ball, and the interaction between the two objects.

Skydiving Chives

Skydiving Chives is about my character, Sir Chives, that I created for an assignment and one that I continued to work with throughout the semester. In this animation I use the illustrations I made in Adobe Illustrator and a photo I took studying abroad. I brought the separate layers of Sir Chives and the photo into After Effects to animate him skydiving by Mount Etna - Sicily.

Collaboration

This project is all about collaborating. The assignment was to use images that our class created for the previous assignment and make something new. My classmate and I worked together to choose the images, storyboard our world, and animate the pieces of our world. I animated the arms, the moon cycle, and clouds. In our classroom, we used my computer to start with the layout of each image to create our environment.

Bellissimi Viaggi

An After Effects 3D pop-up story book with photographs I took while studying abroad in Italy and cut apart in Photoshop. The music was manipulated in After Effects to be the appropriate length. This version is four chapters long and each chapter has two pages. I plan on continuing this story book to include the rest of my study abroad, including places outside Italy. *the video is rendered so I could create a continuous looping DVD for my undergraduate major project exhibition
